Fleshing out ideas | Part 2

It’s been more than a week again and I am still working on my next t-shirt design as and when there is  time. I still find it amazing that more often than not, what started of as a good idea in my head, turns out to be completely different once it’s on paper. As a reminder here is my initial preparation sketch for this idea (click on the images to see the larger view). After much tweaking, quite a bit has changed from my original idea.

As I mentioned, all my bunny sketches were a bit perky. I regrouped and redrew the rabbit in a more traditional pose (think Watershipdown here). The resultant colour scheme is also much brighter than I intended. This is more because Zazzle has different print processes for dark and light shirts and I wanted a design that would work on both without drastic modification.

There is still quite a bit of work before this image can be considered complete – mostly the small detail, which always takes long – but I am happy with the basics. And most importantly, the design works on both dark and light coloured shirts with no changes.
