Squirrels and tricked out walking aids (crutches)

Yes, you read that right. I’ve spent the past week on crutches and the experience has left me with sore hands and a dislike for what seems to be the standard walking aid. I decided that there had to be better ways of getting around than this. Surely? The interwebs did not disappoint me. Admittedly, all these lovely blinged out crutches can mostly be found in the USA, but that’s why they invented couriers, right?

Yes, I’m still here. It’s been a bit crazy since I’ve signed up for some contract work, but I promise to keep the blog updated as and when I can with interesting bits and pieces.

Speaking of which – I came across some great anti-theft devices while surfing (and generally just bumming around) the intrawebs. As an avid gadgeteer, the thought of someone nicking my toys is utterly horrifying and I’ll go to great lengths to protect said toys. My favourite gadget

Living out in the sticks as I do, new gadgets take a while to get to us. I have been observing the Kindle trend for quite some time, but just found it way out of my price range. I also didn’t like the idea of being tied into proprietary software. It irks me when manufacturers try to dictate what format I should use (sorry Amazon and Sony). Some time last year I came across the Cool-er eReader, Interead’s answer to the Kindle.
